Address check
Check my address
Send us your street address and town, or call 775-575-9593. A person looks at the line from the nearest tower to your roof and calls you back with a plain answer: clear, not clear, or needs a closer look.
What happens next
Send the address. Use the form or call 775-575-9593.
A person checks the path from our nearest tower. Fixed wireless needs a clear path from a tower to your roof.
We call you back. Clear, not clear, or we need to look at it from your roof. Nothing is ordered until you say yes.

Storm at a tower?
We go up the mountain.
I have been a customer of High Desert Internet for years. The service is both reliable and affordable. Customer service is efficient. And the technicians are professional.

Fixed wireless works only when the antenna on your home can see a tower. A map cannot tell that, and neither can a ZIP code, so we check the address one home at a time. Here is what happens after you press the button.
What happens after I send my address?
A person at the office reads it, looks at where your home sits compared with our towers, and thinks about the ground and trees in between. Then we call or write to you. Nothing is sold, signed or charged at this step.
You will not get an instant online answer, and that is on purpose. Anything automatic would be a guess, and a wrong guess costs you a trip and a wasted week.
What are the three possible answers?
Every check ends one of three ways.
- Clear: the path from a tower to your roof looks open. We talk through the plans and set up the install visit.
- Not clear: something blocks the path, such as a hill or a row of tall trees. We tell you so and name the other kinds of internet worth a look, because a straight answer saves you time.
- Needs a closer look: the desk check cannot settle it. A technician comes out, looks at the property and tries mounting spots before anything is decided.
What does the technician do at my home?
The technician surveys the house and the land around it. The question is where the antenna can go so that it sees the tower: a gable end, a corner of the roof, or sometimes a short mast. A cable then runs inside to a power injector and on to your router. Never climb to the antenna yourself; the technician does that.
What do I pay on the first day?
The service agreement says payment is due on the date of installation. It is a labor charge plus a prorated monthly charge up to your next billing date, and the first invoice also lists any materials purchased. The agreement does not set the dollar amount and neither do we on this page, so ask when we call. The plans themselves are Bronze $50 a month, Silver $75 a month and Gold $99 a month.
The agreement takes full effect when the installation is complete, which is why the physical look at the roof comes first.
What if I would rather talk first?
Call 775-575-9593 or 775-391-5660, 9 to 5 every day. You can also read what happens on installation day or how to get ready for your install before you decide anything. We do not publish an install time frame, so we will not guess one here.

Ask about 1 Gig / 1 Gig.
Our ultra-low-latency service with upload as fast as download, in some areas. Check your address and tick "Ask about 1 Gig / 1 Gig" and we will tell you if your address can get it. About the 1 Gig / 1 Gig service.
Prices and speeds as published by High Desert Internet Services (hdiss.net, read 10/15/26). "Runs" lines use the FCC Household Broadband Guide and Broadband Speed Guide (fcc.gov), which the FCC calls rough guidelines; every High Desert plan is above the FCC's highest household band of more than 25 Mbps. Not sure which plan? Use the plan picker.
Can I order online?
No. Nothing is sold through this site. The address check and the phone are how every new customer starts.
Will the check tell me yes or no right away?
No. A person answers after looking at the path to the nearest tower. That is the only honest way to answer for fixed wireless.
Does it cost anything to ask?
Sending your address costs nothing. What you pay on install day is described in the service agreement, and we go over it by phone.
