High Speed NV (BEAD) projects in the six counties: 61 provisional projects

In the six counties High Desert Internet works in, Nevada's BEAD plan lists 61 projects with 7,537 locations and about 67.3 million dollars in BEAD support (Nevada OSIT BEAD Final Proposal data, read 10/15/26). Every project is provisional, and High Desert Internet is not a subgrantee on any of them.

61 projects, 7,537 locations, $67,274,779 in BEAD support. Projects with 10 or more locations have their own page; the rest are listed here only. Provisional: the state plan approved by NTIA (announced January 8, 2026), subject to NTIA curing and NIST final review and award. Not a promise that any street will be built.

Download this table (CSV). Source: Nevada Office of Science, Innovation and Technology (OSIT), BEAD Final Proposal data files fp_deployment_projects.csv, fp_subgrantees.csv, fp_locations.csv (https://osit.nv.gov/broadband/bead/), read 2026-10-15.

High Speed NV is the state's name for its share of the federal BEAD program. This page explains the timeline, how to read the tables above and what a provisional project does and does not tell a household. Each county has its own table, and projects with ten or more locations have their own page.

What is the timeline for Nevada's BEAD plan?

On January 16, 2025, NTIA approved Nevada's first Final Proposal. On June 6, 2025, NTIA's Restructuring Policy Notice rescinded prior approvals and called for a "Benefit of the Bargain" round, and Nevada rescinded its provisional awards and ran the round again (OSIT's narrative, September 12, 2025). On January 8, 2026, Governor Lombardo announced NTIA's approval of the revised Final Proposal.

The Governor's release said deployment of BEAD projects was expected to begin in mid-2026 and construction would occur over the next four years, and that the approved plan would reach more than 28,000 homes, businesses and community anchor institutions with fiber-optic, hybrid-fiber-coax, licensed fixed wireless and satellite service (gov.nv.gov, January 8, 2026). The January 2025 approval is history and is not the current plan.

What does provisional mean?

OSIT labels every project provisional, and NTIA's Nevada overview, updated January 6, 2026, marks its figures "subject to change pending NTIA curing and NIST final review and award." In plain terms, a company named on this list is the one the state's plan names today, and the plan can still change in who builds, where and when.

A project on the list is therefore not a promise to any street, and a missing name is not a statement about any address. No page on this site says that a home will or will not be reached.

What do the six-county tables show?

The 61 projects split by county as Washoe 17, Douglas 22, Lyon 9, Carson City 6, Storey 4 and Churchill 3, listed on the county pages: Washoe, Lyon, Storey, Churchill, Carson City and Douglas. By technology, 34 projects with 5,733 locations are fiber to the premises, 17 with 974 are low-earth-orbit satellite and 10 with 830 are licensed fixed wireless.

Forty-three projects have ten or more locations and a page of their own. The other 18, with one to eight locations each, appear only as rows, because a page about one to eight households is not a page. Twenty-three of the 61 carry the tribal-land flag, and the file's consent names appear on the project pages.

Who is listed as a subgrantee in the six counties?

Eight subgrantees appear. Hot Spot Broadband is listed for 16 projects and 3,058 locations, about 42.7 million dollars. NV Bell Telephone is listed for five projects and 1,326 locations, Satview Broadband for one of 1,158, Amazon Kuiper for 12 with 838, Rural Telephone Company for two with 451, DTS Fiber for 19 with 411, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony for one with 159 and SpaceX for five with 136.

Statewide the OSIT files list 17 subgrantees and 148 projects, with about 170.7 million dollars in BEAD support, against a total allocation of about 416.7 million dollars. High Desert Internet Services is not on the list, and this site never describes it as a subgrantee.

How do I read an end date?

Each project carries an estimated performance end. Six of the 61 have an estimated end before October 15, 2026, the day the files were read: five SpaceX rows dated January 1, 2026, and Topaz Ranch Estates, dated June 1, 2026. The file does not report progress, so a past date is a planning date and not a sign of finished work. The latest dates are December 31, 2029.

Read the dates the way the Governor's words read: deployment expected to begin in mid-2026, construction over the next four years.

Who built this list, and where is the data?

Nevada's Office of Science, Innovation and Technology publishes the Final Proposal data on its BEAD page, last updated July 28, 2026, as three CSV files: deployment projects, locations and subgrantees. Every figure here is taken from those files, read on October 15, 2026, and each table has a CSV download. For a longer read on what the program means for rural roads, see the High Speed NV guide and the BEAD glossary entry.

What should a household do meanwhile?

Keep the service you have and look up the address on the FCC's National Broadband Map at broadbandmap.fcc.gov to see what providers report today. For a home in any of the six counties, High Desert Internet lists Bronze at $50 a month with up to 500 Mbps down, Silver at $75 with up to 800 Mbps and Gold at $99 with up to 1 Gig, each with up to 200 Mbps up and no contracts (hdiss.net, read 10/15/26). Whether a tower can see a roof is decided address by address. Send a street address in any of the six counties through the address check or call 775-575-9593, 9 to 5 every day. A person looks at the path from the nearest tower to the roof and calls you back; in any of the six counties as everywhere else, a technician confirms it at the house if it looks clear.

Questions people ask

Still have a question? Call 775-575-9593, 9 to 5 every day.

Is High Desert Internet part of High Speed NV?

No. High Desert Internet Services is not on OSIT's subgrantee list and is not described as a subgrantee anywhere on this site.

Was Nevada's BEAD plan approved?

NTIA approved the revised Final Proposal, announced January 8, 2026. An earlier approval from January 16, 2025, was rescinded after NTIA's June 6, 2025 policy notice. The awards remain provisional.

Can this list tell me whether my address will get service?

No. The files count locations by project area and publish no addresses. The FCC's National Broadband Map and the listed subgrantee are the places to ask about an address.

Where are the other 18 projects?

They have one to eight locations each and appear as rows in the county tables, without pages of their own.
