What is High Speed NV?

The Governor's office announced on January 8, 2026 that NTIA had approved Nevada's revised BEAD final proposal. The release says it unlocks more than $170 million of Nevada's $416 million total allocation, would expand access for over 28,000 homes, businesses and community anchor institutions, and includes more than $65 million in private investment. It says deployment was expected to begin in mid-2026 and construction would occur over four years. The release also says more than $200 million remained pending NTIA guidance.

Earlier, NTIA had approved a first proposal on January 16, 2025, which was rescinded after the June 6, 2025 policy notice.

Why does it matter on a fixed wireless connection?

The state's list of projects is its plan. OSIT labels awards provisional, and NTIA says its figures are subject to change. The list names companies and areas, and High Desert Internet Services is not among the subgrantees read on 2026-10-15. A project on the list is not a promise that your road will be built.

The Governor's release names fiber, hybrid fiber-coax, licensed fixed wireless and satellite as the technologies. Read High Speed NV and rural roads and BEAD data for Nevada.

What should I do about it?

Do not delay a decision because a project is coming. Dates move, and a listed project may cover only part of an area. Check what service is possible now with Check my address and call 775-575-9593 with questions.

If you want to follow the state's work, see Nevada OSIT for where its files are published.

If a county page on this site lists a project near you, look at the provider's own site for what it plans to sell, and for the price and terms, before you count on it.

One of your roof looking toward the ridge, and one of any old dish or antenna, helps us check the path. Phone photos are fine.

By sending this you agree that we may call or email you about this address. A technician never comes out until you say yes.
