Is there a service-level agreement for business customers?

No service-level agreement is published. The HDISS Service Agreement that all customers sign has no uptime commitment and no response-time commitment, and the company's plan cards are the same for homes and small businesses.

A business that depends on its line should ask this before it signs up, and a clear answer is better than a hopeful one. Here is what exists and what to do about it.

What does the company publish?

The plan cards are labeled for homes and small businesses, Bronze at $50, Silver at $75 and Gold at $99 a month. Support is local: the office 9 to 5 every day, and a network crew on call around the clock for tower outages, with no written response time. The agreement says the company will make reasonable efforts to provide continuous service and limits its liability for lost income (Section 4.A). It also says temporary interruptions may occur (Section 3.a).

A business plan with written uptime terms, a repair time or credits is not published. If one exists, the company would need to say so; ask.

What can a business do?

Ask for any special terms in writing and keep the reply. Questions about the agreement itself go by email to billing@hdiss.net. Then plan for the gap. The guide on backup internet for a small business shows how a second line keeps card readers and phones running, and card readers and point of sale covers payments.

Check what your own contracts need. If a customer requires a fixed uptime from you, a line with no such promise needs a backup behind it.

Where do I start?

Send the business address through the address check, or call 775-575-9593. A person looks at the path from the nearest tower to your roof and calls back. Ask about the up to 1 Gig / 1 Gig service in your area too, and about a fixed address if you host anything. The business internet page covers what is published.
