This page reads only what the service agreement says. We do not publish an invoice layout or sample, because we have not seen your account. If a line on your bill is not explained here, ask.
Steps
- Find the plan and the monthly amount
The three plans are Bronze at $50 a month, Silver at $75 a month and Gold at $99 a month. Your invoice should show the one you have.
- Look for a prorated amount on the first invoice
The agreement says the first invoice includes the prorated charges for the rest of the current month.
- Look for the installation charge
The first invoice also includes the installation charge and any materials bought. The amount is not published on this site.
- Check for data charges
Each service level has a data transfer limit. The agreement bills 1 US dollar per gigabyte over the limit in a billing cycle. Ask for your limit by emailing info@hdiss.net.
- Check the due date
Invoices are due on receipt and past due 20 days after they are received, by the agreement.
- Ask about anything unclear
Write to billing@hdiss.net, or call 775-575-9593.
Why is this month different?
There are a few reasons: the first invoice includes a prorated amount and the installation charge, a change of plan changes the monthly amount, and use above the data transfer limit adds a charge. A change in the date range on a prorated invoice can look odd; the proration page in the glossary, proration, explains the arithmetic.
Where is my due date?
The agreement says an invoice is due and payable in full on receipt and past due 20 days after it was received. We do not publish whether your invoice prints a date. If yours does not, ask. After a due date passes, the agreement says late payments must be approved by the company or services may be forfeited, so call early if you need to talk about timing.
What is the data line?
Charges for data appear only if use goes over the limit for your service level. The agreement does not publish the limit and neither do we. Read data transfer limits and your usage and how to estimate your monthly data use, and ask by email for your figure.
Are there taxes and fees on the bill?
The agreement says that for all charges, including installation charges and taxes if applicable, the company will send an invoice or bill the card. We publish no tax or fee line. The guide on whether internet bills are taxed in Nevada covers the state side.
What if the amount is not what I expected?
Compare the invoice with your plan: Bronze at $50 a month, Silver at $75 a month, or Gold at $99 a month. Then look for the first-month items, a data charge or a plan change. If none explains it, write to billing@hdiss.net with the invoice date and the line, or call the office.
Who do I write to, and what do I include?
Write to billing@hdiss.net. Give the account name, the service address, the invoice date, the line in question and what you expected to see. Attach nothing with your full card number. A written question gives both sides the same record, which the agreement asks for when the question concerns the agreement.
What do the words on a prorated line mean?
Prorated means a share of a month. If service starts partway through a billing period, the first invoice charges for the days left rather than the whole month, and the following invoices are full months. The agreement describes the first charge as the labor for installation plus the prorated monthly charge to the next billing date. Ask the office to show you how the number was reached if it does not look right. A person can walk through the dates with you, and you can check the arithmetic against the plan price for your month.
How do I keep my bills easy to follow?
Save each invoice or confirmation in one folder, and note the date you paid. If you change plans, add a note with the date. When a question comes up months later, the dates settle most of it in a minute.
